To accelerate our global growth, we are looking for our new Office in Boston (MA) for a Sales Manager (m/f/d).

Job Description

You are responsible for sales in the United States as well as Canada and Mexico in academia and industry. Your responsibilities in detail are:
  • acquisition of new customers as well as support and expansion of business with existing customers
  • creation and follow-up of offers, responsible for handling of international Tenders
  • negotiation of orders and order entry
  • entry and maintenance of customer data in the ERP system
  • on-site visits of customers and prospects to increase contact and understanding of customer applications and needs
  • develop and maintain customer and prospect networks, e.g. through skillful use of social media
  • carry out sales campaigns in consultation with Head of Sales
  • participation at trade fairs and giving lectures at conferences
  • giving product demonstrations and presentations in front of international industry professionals
  • creation of target customer lists, some contacting of target customers through cold calling
  • collaboration with marketing: conception, collaborative creation and implementation of local campaigns
  • monitoring of technical application studies and print jobs and acting as an interface between internal Process & Application Development and external customers
  • reporting to Head of Sales including compilation of statistics, market information and trends, monitoring of competition

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed studies in physics or Engineering
  • 3 years of industrially relevant professional experience desirable
  • experience in high-tech B2B sales is a plus
  • strong market and customer understanding in science and industry - preferentially in precision engineering
  • application knowledge or experience in the field of 3D printing, in particular by means of two-photon polymerization advantageous.
  • you are resilient, result-oriented and independent
  • you have a very good understanding of human nature and can evaluate sales opportunities
  • you have a structured work manner, organizational skills and high degree of reliability
  • you are able to communicate on an equal footing with professors and decision makers in the industry
  • your are fluent in written and spoken English, French and/or German is a plus
  • experience in the sales of consulting-intensive, complex technical solutions is advantageous
  • experience in the handling of international tenders is advantageous
  • valid driver's license is mandatory
  • travel up to 40% mainly in the US, Mexico and Canada

Our Offer

You will be trained in Germany for up to 3 months after which you will stationed in our new office in the Boston area with another Sales Manager for the America region as well as the service department.
