
Software Engineer (m/f/d) Python & 3D Printing
For our office in the Karlsruhe area we are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) Python & 3D Printing in full time.
Job description
As part of our software engineering team, you will work closely with engineers and domain experts on various R&D projects. You will have the chance to bring in your own ideas and contribute to product definitions.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Discussing and clarifying requirements with our internal domain experts
- Breaking requirements down into manageable work packages, estimating effort, and identifying technical dependencies
- Designing and developing algorithms that span and are optimized across various layers of our software stack
- Designing and developmenting software that interacts with specific hardware components
- Continuously optimizing the functionality and quality of the software for better scalability, maintainability and performance
Your profile
- You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, mathematics, physics, or engineering
- You have several years of experience as a software engineer, with a solid understanding of software architecture and design principles
- You are fluent in Python and can find your way in a large codebase
- You are familiar with AI-assisted development workflows and best practices for productive, responsible use of AI coding tools
- Experience with numerical algorithms, GPU graphics, and computational geometry on 3D meshes is a plus
- Experience with near-hardware programming, such as interfacing to cameras and sensors, or FPGA development is a plus
- Knowledge of software security principles and secure coding practices is a plus
- You are motivated, enjoy working in a team, and appreciate clean code
